Marin Audubon Society (MAS) is a separately incorporated non-profit organization with a 501(c)(3) designation under the Internal Revenue Code. In addition, MAS is a chapter of the National Audubon Society. We offer regularly scheduled field trips focused on bird identification, monthly program meetings conducted by experts and focused on birds and bird habitats, a monthly newsletter, advocacy to protect and conserve Marin habitats, and special projects and programs. With an MAS membership you also become a steward of the 400+ acres of bayland habitats MAS owns and help MAS maintain these properties. You will also receive our newsletter with information about field trips, programs, and other activities.

Until several years ago, Audubon chapters received a substantial portion of the National Audubon dues. That has now changed. Chapters now receive a very minimal amount of the dues from National Audubon, and we anticipate that will be dwindling further. This is why MAS, and many other local chapters, have decided to establish chapter-only memberships.

With a local chapter membership, 100% of your membership dues go to support local projects and activities. MAS is an all-volunteer organization that conducts all of its programs with no paid staff.

Please consider Chapter-only Membership.
