Spotted Towhee
(formerly called "Rufous-sided Towhee")

Size: 7-8 1/2 inches

This bird lives in forest edges, thickets, woodlands, gardens, and parks. It is a shy bird with beautiful black, orange, and white markings that lives in the Bay Area all year long.
