For over 50 years, Marin Audubon Society and Audubon Canyon Ranch have hosted this delightful fundraiser in Volunteer Canyon on Mother’s Day. For many it is an annual tradition -- bringing family and friends together for a great day of delicious food and good fun in the beautiful setting of this coastal wildlife preserve.

Proceeds from this event help fund the educational and conservation programs of Audubon Canyon Ranch and Marin Audubon Society.

The menu includes barbecued chicken or vegetarian quiche, salad, home-style beans, local breads, coffee and tea, and ice cream. Wine, beer, and soft drinks are available.

Guided nature hikes are offered to those who would like to explore this amazing area, where many Great Blue Herons and Great and Snowy Egrets return each year to build their nests and raise their chicks in the protected trees of the preserve near the food-rich mud and water of Bolinas Lagoon.

We encourage you to “be green” and bring your own non-throw-away utensils/dishes/ cups and napkins.

Please, NO PETS. If arriving late, be prepared to picnic on the grass. This event is held RAIN or SHINE. Indoor seating will be available in the event of rain. Reservations are required. Parking is limited, please carpool if possible. Handicap access and parking are available.

No tickets will be sent to you for this event. Your check, when received by Marin Audubon, will guarantee your place on the reservation list. That portion of each ticket over the amount of $10 is tax deductible.

The entrance to ACR’s Volunteer Canyon is 2.66 miles north of Stinson Beach (1/3 mile south of ACR) on Hwy 1.
